Guest Service Volunteers- The         of the House.

Our Guest Services Volunteers create a safe, healthy, welcoming home-like environment for guest families so that patients and families can focus on treatment and recovery. 

 

Monday-Friday          10:00am-8:00pm

Saturday-Sunday      1:00pm-7:00pm as needed

Shifts available: 

• 10:00am-1:00pm

• 1:00pm-3:00pm

• 3:00pm-5:00pm

• 5:00pm-8:00pm

We believe it's important for children to learn the art of serving, however require volunteers to be 16 years of age or older unless supervised by a parent/guardian.  

​

Volunteers are responsible to volunteer during their scheduled time. 

 

Volunteer duties are varied — depending on the day of the week, time of day, occupancy rate and number of families. We will try to match you up with your requested skillset.

• Greet and welcome families and visitors to the House

• Register families into the House

• Answer phone calls

• Clerical and data entry work

• Prepare and serve food to our guests

• Help keep kitchen and public areas clean and organized

• Assist volunteer groups with the evening meal preparation and cleanup

• Basic household chores

• Preventative maintanance and basic repairs

• Painting

• Garden and yardwork

• Laundry

• Cleaning and restocking rooms

• Gardening

• Hosting a family activity night

• Baking

• Assisting with guests' needs
