Group Volunteer Opportunities

Work teams, book clubs, faith groups, corporate groups, school or scout organizations.

Meals from the Heart Program

Groups of 2-10 Volunteers

Monday – Friday  3:00pm-7:00pm
Saturday-Sunday 3:00pm-7:00pm

Purchase, prepare, and serve dinners to families staying at the House (typically 3-20 guests)


The Meals from the Heart program offers volunteer groups ranging in size from 2–10 people a fun

and rewarding way to support families staying at the House.

This opportunity is a great to serve those in need by providing a healthy and nutritious meal. 

Organize a group of friend, your work team, church or community group, student group and have great team building while cooking. Please stay and join the guests for dinner and hear their stories.


Meals can be be prepared onsite at the House or from any commercial kitchen in a church, business/school or restaurant.Takeout or delivery is perfectly acceptable if you find yourself in a pinch. Our families like to dine on pizza, subs & Chinese.


Our staff are here to help with menu suggestions and delivery/pick up options

Please note that all on-site volunteers under the age of 16 must be  supervised by an adult. 

Helping Hands

Groups of 3-15 Volunteers
Monday – Friday, 9:30am and 4:00pm
Saturday-Sunday scheduled as available
3 hour shift which includes time for a tour of the House.

Light assembly 

Make a meal that will be served to families later in the day

Landscaping, gardening, or yard work




Decorating for holidays


Preparing freezer meals 

Basic facility maintenance 

Painting and scraping


Please note that all on-site volunteers under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult. 




**The number of volunteers gathered in one area might be limited due to COVID social distancing requirements. 

**All volunteers should wear a mask and follow social distancing requirements while at the House.

**Symptom screening will be required for all volunteers prior to volunteering.

**All volunteers will be asked to sign a waiver  before volunteering.


If a member of your group is or has recently been ill, please refrain from attending. We understand this to be a disappointment, but we make this request for the safety of our families.
